ERNEST (ERNIE) LAWRENCE GRAY (March 28, 1924 - November 11, 2008) Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Ernest (Ernie) Gray passed away at home at the age of 84 years. Remaining to forever cherish Ernie's memory are his wife Margaret; son Robert (Sharon); granddaughter Jessica; grandson Dylan and sister Dolly (Thorvaldson). He was predeceased by his much loved daughter Debra Gray; sister Lenore; brother Vernon and mother Marion. Ernie was born and raised in Selkirk, Manitoba. He served in the Canadian navy on board the HMCS Assiniboine from 1942 to 1945. He moved to Winnipeg where he was employed by the Hoover Vacuum Company where he met his wife Margaret Gray (Stewart). Ernie went on to become a self employed entrepreneur throughout the 1950's and 60's. He then worked for Silverwoods Dairy from 1966 to 1986 when he retired. He loved to garden and travel, two activities which he shared with his wife Margaret. They grew and journeyed throughout the world and life together for 55 years. Their favourite place was Waikiki, Hawaii where they shared many happy times. A private family service will be held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue.
