Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS TEKLA HOLEWKA July 2, 1912 November 14, 2008 It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Gladys Holewka at the Holy Family Home at the age of 96 years. Gladys was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anne Holewka, her brother Paul, her sisters Olga and Stephanie as well as an infant sister. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister-in-law Mary Holewka, her God daughter Jo-Ann (Walter) Skakun, her nephew Basil (Marlene) Holewka; grand nieces and nephews Wally (Karen) Skakun, Dan (Stephanie) Skakun, Kathy (Sam) Romaniuk, Michael Holewka and Jennifer Holewka.,as well as her great grand nieces and nephews Eric, William and Kristen Skakun, Yelena, Tessa and Xavier Romaniuk and Evan and Jada Skakun. Also left to cherish her memory are her cousins Bernice (Bob) Coffey and Mildred (Leon) Feduniw and their family. Gladys was born in Winnipeg where she resided her entire life. She enjoyed the many frequent visits from members of the family and took great joy in the preparation of the large traditional Christmas and Easter banquets to which we all looked forward. She was employed as a supervisor in the garment industry and her ability to sew clothing for members of the family is legendary. Gladys was a life time member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral and her dedication to her church and faith guided her life to the very end. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 17 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral 115 McGregor St., with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat Michael Buyachok officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Donations can be made in Gladys' memory to Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral Renovation Fund. VICHNAYA PAMYAT! KORBAN FUNERALCHAPEL 956-2193
