Jean was born on October 9, 1933 and raised on a dairy farm in Lorette. On November 12, 1955 wedding bells rang for Jean and his lovely bride Irene Grossman. They continued to farm and raised three daughters and one son. Jean was a devoted and hard worker. Family and farming was his life. In 1998 apart from farming daddy worked for Tinkertown and construction companies along side his son Johnny. In 1998 they sold the farm and retired on the homestead. Together they spent many enjoyable days with their children and grandchildren. They loved to travel and have many gatherings with friends and family. On April 17, 2001 in spite of daddy's excellent care, mommy passed away after a lengthy illness with her family by her side. Five months later daddy had a stroke and was sent to numerous hospitals for treatment and rehabilitation. Due to the effects of the stroke daddy could not return home. In December 2002 he moved to the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, Manitoba where he had excellent care. He passed away November 14, 2008, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer in August 2008. The family would like to thank the staff of Villa Youville. Words cannot express our gratitude for the love and care you gave Daddy.
