Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE LOUISE HOLM Peacefully, Marie passed away at the Gimli Community Health Centre on Saturday, November 15, 2008. Marie was born in Lac du Bonnet on December 27, 1922. She grew up in Beausejour and Winnipeg. In her younger years she worked at the Hudson's Bay Company. Later she was a clerk with the Department of National Defense for many years. When she retired in Gimli her life was very active. She was generous with her time and talents volunteering for the Adult Day Program, Meals on Wheels, the Senior's Resource Council and Evergreen Basic Needs. She loved to square dance, knit, do crosswords and puzzles and her weekly card game with her Rotary friends. She was a long standing member of the Catholic Women's League. Marie is survived by her only sister Emily Ferland. She was predeceased by her parents Louis and Emilie Minard, her first husband George Harrop, her second husband Adolf Holm and her brother-in-law Ray Ferland. Emily wishes to thank Dr. A. Aljafari, the hospital staff, the palliative care staff and the members of the CWL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Gimli with Father Art Seaman celebrating. Viewing one hour prior. Her gentle smile will be missed. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.

Marie is lovingly remembered by Bob and Caroline Holm and family from Victoria, BC. Our condolences and prayers are with you. So sorry we could not be there for the service.
