MICHAEL FRYKAS It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Michael, peacefully on November 16, 2008. Michael was born in Ethelbert, MB and grew up on the family farm in Mink Creek, MB. He worked in Winnipeg most of his life as a refrigeration mechanic until he suffered an injury in 1982 and then he became the primary caregiver for his girls. He will always be remembered for his sense of humour and his generous nature. He would talk to everyone he met and was always ready and willing to give a helping hand. He enjoyed Ukrainian music, playing the violin, the outdoors in all seasons, hunting, fishing, gardening and especially his time at the cottage. Spending time with his grandsons was the greatest joy of his life. Michael is survived by his loving wife Janice of 42 years; daughters, Michele (Bryan Foerster) and Nancy (Dan Suga); grandsons, Alex and Kenji Suga and Dalton Foerster; sisters, Nettie (Mike) Kawchuk and Mary (Peter) Domanski. He was predeceased by his parents John and Jessie and brother, David. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 19 at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt Street at Munroe Avenue with Rev. Fr. M. Winn officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Prostate Cancer Support Group, 705-776 Corydon Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Michael will be lovingly missed and never forgotten.
