JOYCELYN ANN KARPISH January 29, 1942 - November 15, 2008 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joycelyn Ann Karpish on Saturday, November 15, 2008. After a brief battle, our beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend has left this earth to be in loving peace with the Lord. She was predeceased by her father, John Just, father-in-law Alexander Karpish and mother-in-law Mary Karpish. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband Douglas, daughters Shannon Sidak (Rob), Shelley Van Brockin (Jim), stepson Jeffery Karpish (Lesley), five grandchildren whom she adored and whom gave her great joy - Travis, Taylor, Aaron, Carissa, and Noah, her mother Anne Just, eight loving brothers and sisters - Marcel (Myra), Ronnie (Gaye), Donna (Cloren), Garry (Shirley), Raelene (John), Owen (Theresa), Darwin (Lorraine), and Bryan (Merle). She also left behind many dear nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will be held in the reception centre. The family extends a special thank you to her longtime best friend Angie Boznianin for her support and strength at this difficult time. We would also like to thank the caring nurses and staff at Concordia Hospital for their tremendous care and compassion. As our Loved one passes from this life to her heavenly home with our Father we are thankful for the time we were given and look forward to the day we will be reunited.
