MILLIE DURAND Millie Durand passed away on Tuesday November 18, 2008, surrounded by loving family members, after a long, full and happy life. Millie was born in Russell, Manitoba on February 6, 1935, the daughter of Elizabeth and George Cusitar. She is survived by her four children, Kevin, Darcy, Troy and Sherwin and four grandchildren, Travis, Joey, William and Ray. She is also survived by her sister Florence Lindgren (Eric) and many nieces and nephews. She was immensely proud of her boys and was always there when they needed her. She loved organizing and participating in activities with her many friends and always looked forward to seeing her boys whenever they popped into her place. She was always busy with needlepoint and cross stitch and made many stunning pieces of art with this passion for everyone to adore and cherish for years to come. Millie will be missed by every member of her family, and her many friends, including her friends at the apartment buildings she lived at. Her family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the Health Sciences Centre staff for their devoted care and support in her time of need. A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home (1531 Pembina Hwy) on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to the Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg at (204) 787-2022 or hsc foundation@hsc.mb.ca.

Darcy, Troy, Kevin & Sherwin Our sincerest condolences on the loss of Millie. Losing a mother is one of the hardest things in our life, but remember, she will always remain a part of your lives no matter what. She did have quite the boisterous spirit and was very proud of all of you. We're sorry we cannot attend but we are thinking of all of you at this time.
