MARYLIN (LIN) JEAN GOODRICK (nee MOLLISON) January 24, 1942 - November 18, 2008 After a short but courageous battle with cancer, Lin, passed away, peacefully, with a loved one at her side, on Tuesday, November 18. Remaining to forever cherish Lin's memory are her husband of 34 years of marriage, Bill Goodrick and their cats, Tigger and Sammy; daughter Marsha, sonin-law Don and grandson Donnie Frohwerk; sister Betty Martin; brothers, Jim and Pat Mollison; sister-in-law Edna Mollison; brother-in-law Jim and Maureen Goodrick; sisterin-law Carroll Brown and many nieces and nephews. Also extended family of Debbie and John Lehner and family, Frank and Taylor Goodrick, Tim Goodrick, Jodi Goodrick and Marla Cleland and girls. She was predeceased by her father John Mollison; mother Betsy A. Mollison; brother Albert Mollison; brother-in-law Larry Brown and extended family Michelle Goodrick. Lin was born in Nipawin SK, grew up and went to school in the Garrick and Kirkwall districts in northern Saskatchewan. At 18 she moved to Winnipeg, married her first husband and had her family. She found herself working in the medical field at the Health Sciences Centre. Helping others was in her blood. Later she moved to Saskatoon and continued to work in the medical field but after six years, returned to Winnipeg where she married Bill November 30, 1974. She found work as a Ward Clerk at Grace Hospital from 1974 until her retirement in 1999. Summer time you would find her at their trailer at Chesley's Resort with family and friends where she was an active member of the campers committee. If she wasn't selling 50/50 tickets she was watching her grandson have fun in the sun. In the fall and spring she kept busy with friends line dancing and more recently singing with the Spirit's Call choir where she made many more. She was an active member with the St. James AA group for the last 15 years. Winters were maybe her favorite as she and Bill did some traveling trying out hotter climates only to find themselves returning to Hawaii year after year where they also had made many friends. In compliance with Lin's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held, only a private burial for family. Special thanks to her dear friend Donna T. and thank you to Dr. Kramer, Grace Hospital and to the Staff of 3 North. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lin's memory to CancerCare MB or to St. Amant Centre. Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother but to all a Friend. Aloha
