JOSEPHENE DUCZEMINSKI January 6, 1911 - November 19, 2008 On Wednesday, November 19, 2008 Josephene Duczeminski our much loved Mother, Grandmother and great-Grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 97 at the Holy Family Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1991. Josephene was born in Kociubincie, Ukraine. The only child of Albina and Metro Holubowicz. She immigrated to Canada in 1927 and was employed as a domestic in Winnipeg. She married John in 1931, and they briefly lived in Sinclair, MB and Antler, SK and moved to Red Lake, ON in 1937. They retired to Winnipeg in 1966. Josephene will be deeply missed and remembered by her daughter Jean, sons Walter (Joan) and Joe (Judy); grandchildren David (Suzie), Alison, Cheryl (Jim), Derek (Angel), Alan (Anna); great-grandchildren Erica, Jenna, Sarah, Benjamin, and Samuel. Our sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at the Holy Family Nursing Home and especially those on St. Paul's for their patience and compassionate care. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A private family interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Family Nursing Home, 165 Aberdeen Ave. Winnipeg R2W 1T9. 586-8044
