Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE ALBERT BOIVIN On Tuesday, November 18, 2008, with his wife and children by his side, George passed away after a brief battle with cancer. He is now at peace in the arms of the Lord. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Mary, and his sister Annette. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years Leita, his daughters and their families Donna (Randy), Joanne (Werner), Linda (Michael), and his son David (Tammy) as well as 10 grandchildren: Leanne, Ben, Brittany, Kristi, Erika, Joshua, Samantha, Pierce, Matthew, Alyssa. Also his brother Leo (Lena) and sister Janine (Jim), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. George spent many years working in carpentry. He could build anything from a building to the most intricate of small pieces as an antique restorer. He loved his family above all else. He was so proud of each and every one and all of their accomplishments. He loved playing with his grandchildren and sitting in his own backyard paradise with his wife, looking at his beautiful flower garden and listening to the birds. The neighbourhood will fondly remember the one who took care of them as the snow shoveller, grass cutter and handyman. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Health Sciences Center, Cancer Care Manitoba, and Riverview Health Center for their excellent care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A family burial will take place at a later date in Langruth, Manitoba. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2528 King Edward Street at Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverview Health Center Palliative Care or to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
