She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who touched the lives of many over the years. Cherishing Marjorie's memory are her two daughters, Jan (Vern) Aikens of St. Albert, Alberta and Pat (Kit) Read of Winnipeg, along with two grandsons, Scott and Jeffrey; sister-in-law, Mary Clarke and family of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; cousins Cynthia Southwell, Jean Rivers and Barrie Askew and their families in England; along with many friends throughout Canada, the United States and England will also mourn her loss. She was predeceased by her husband and soul mate, Lewis, in 1976; her brother, Jack Clarke in June, 2008; and her parents Bertram and Nellie Clarke. Marge was a prairie girl born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. Some of her favourite memories are of friends and family at Regina Beach. She lived in many places during her marriage to Lewis which contributed to her love of travel any place where she could sit on a beach with the sun on her face. She was an avid gardener, loved her involvement with the church choir, adored animals, and was passionate about the game of Bridge. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster Avenue. The family would like to thank Dr. R. McClure, Dr. A. N. Schroeder and the Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion on her final journey. We would also like to thank the home care providers and staff at The Wellington for their kindness and support during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations to Marjorie's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3.
