JOHANNA K. SIGURDSON October 13, 1929 - November 19, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce that Joey Sigurdson (Abrahamson) passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in Arborg with her husband at her side. Left to mourn her loss include her husband Thor; three sons, Ken (Danielle), Bruce, Jeff (Jacquie); one brother John (Terry) of Winnipeg; one sister Emmy Joel of Portage La Prairie; nine grandchildren, Brian, Mark (Deserae), Rene, Christopher (Toni), Stacey (Todd), Davis, Kyle, Brooke, Jillian; four great-grandchildren, Micheala, Damon, Hana, Mekhi and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Ida; brother Leo; sister Gudrun; sons, Randal and Ralph; brothers-in-law, Irvin, Joel and Paul Albo. Mom was born and raised in Framnes and on marrying dad enjoyed 61 years together never far apart through all those years. Mom was a precious person, compassionate, best friend to dad, an avid gardener, wonderful cook, famous for Sunday family gatherings. She also loved sitting in her sunroom bird watching. Mom was also a member of the Framnes Ladies Aid for years. Everyone lucky enough to have known her was inspired by her spirit, patience and unconditional love regardless of the situation. Johanna was cremated and a private celebration of her life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Childrens Diabetes Association or Arborg Assisted Living.
