Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAWN MARIE WILKIE June 23, 1968 - November 12, 2008 It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother and daughter. Following a brief illness, Dawn passed away on November 12, 2008 vacationing in Florida where she loved to be. Dawn will be sadly missed by many - her laughs, her tears, her personality. Left to mourn her passing is her Best Friend and daughter Karlene (Karlie), her precious son Jonah, her husband Jeff, her precious dog Bear , sisters Diane (Leo, with Greg and Marena) and Judy (Darryl). Dawn will be deeply missed by her parents Clarence and Gail Pischke, the Wilkie family and all of their families in Winnipeg and Whitemouth, as well as her extended family in Florida - Marie, Anthony, Mike, Rocko and Terry. Dawn's family has also shared great friendship with her friends Josie and Dennis Meyer with daughters Ashleigh and Jordyn, and, of course, Noah and Bella. Dawn will be missed in many ways by many people. Her ability to make you laugh, to make you cry, but in the end there was always a smile. Dawn had so many funny stories to tell and loved telling them in her own special way. She was a precious personality that was taken from us all too early in life. God must have needed a laugh. Dawn enjoyed her work as a Registered Dialysis Nurse and no doubt many of her great friends at Seven Oaks General Hospital and St. Boniface General Hospital have many good stories to tell about Dawn. Please join us on Tuesday, November 24 at the First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Church with Reception/Celebration following at The Pony Corral Pier 7, located at 1700 Pembina Hwy. Pastor Michael Kurtz will be presiding at both the service and reception. Interment will take place at a later date. The support by all has been extremely gracious and overwhelming. We know there are many stories about Dawn that we all have. Please share your words at www.mem.com. It gives us great pleasure to hear how Dawn has touched so many. Your warm thoughts, gifts, and generous donations of great food and deep love are so greatly appreciated. Gail's freezer is definitely full now. There is no need for other donations to us, but if you wish, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation as Dawn had many friends, patients, and co-workers involved in this effort. Thanks go out to the great support given by the Green Acres' staff, along with the cooperation of all parties in Florida. Words can't begin to describe the heartache that we all feel...she touched us deeply. Dawn, may you finally rest in peace, my love. I'm sure you are holding hands with Auntie June and Nana Joan.
