JOHN (JACK) CARSON GLENN Peacefully on November 20, 2008, John (Jack) Carson Glenn met his reward at St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 81. John is predeceased by his wife Wilma Glenn (nee Kennedy), his parents, William and Ethel Glenn, Stan and Eunice Christie (uncle and aunt), sister, Grace Boggs. Jack is survived by his children, Marilyn, Bill (Anna), Doug, and David, step children, Greg, Gary and Brenda, grandchildren, John, Christie (Brad), Cailin, Eli, and Carensa, great-grandchildren, Braden and Callie. Jack was born in Shoal Lake, MB, and began his railway career as a machinist apprentice at the age of 16 at Fort Rouge yard in Winnipeg, MB. He married Mary Williams in Port Arthur, Ontario in 1949. Jack worked in many towns including Rainey River, Thunder Bay, The Pas, and Winnipeg while with the CNR. In 1982, Jack married Wilma Kennedy. They resided in Winnipeg and had many enjoyable years of retirement and travel. During Jack's retirement he enjoyed woodcarving, annual fishing trips to Rainey River and Thunder Bay. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
