TERENCE JOHN JONES (TERRY) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much-loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather Terence John Jones (Terry) on Monday November 10, 2008 at the age of 85. Terry was born on January 2, 1923 in Saskatoon to May and Terry Jones Sr. He moved to Winnipeg as a young child where he attended both elementary and high school. He then joined the Air Force during the Second World War serving in Barrie, Ontario. Terry married the love of his life, Lily Margit Viola Ehn on May 6, 1950 and lived in Winnipeg in East Kildonan where they had three daughters, Linda, Laura, and Cindy. Terry and his family spent many vacations at the cabin at West Hawk Lake. Terry worked as a salesman with Philips Industries for many years before moving to Dryden in 1963 to open his own furniture store, Town Country Home Furnishings. Shortly after moving to Dryden, Terry and Lil's son Terry Jr. was born. Terry enjoyed spending time with his family at their camp on Thunder Lake. Terry had many hobbies throughout his lifetime and loved to dance to Big Band music. After Lil passed away in 1999, Terry received great comfort and enjoyment from his children and grandchildren, who were the joy of his life, as well as his faithful companion, his beagle Sherry. Terry will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Linda Jones-Addison, Laura Wigle (Casey) and Cindy Crawford (Bryan) and son Terry Jones Jr. He will be dearly missed by his cherished grandchildren Pam, Sean (Charity) and Rory Wigle, Leah O'Donnell, Jeff Addison and Nik, Travis and Suzanne Crawford. He is also survived by his three great-grandchildren Briar MacLean, Kiya and Brylee Wigle. Terry was predeceased by his loving wife Lily, and son-in-law Neil Addison. A memorial service was held to celebrate his life on Friday November 14, 2008.
