MAUREEN DOLORES HANSEN May 26, 1940 - November 21, 2008 It is with regret that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Maureen Dolores Hansen (nee Clermont) on November 21, 2008 at the age of 68. Maureen is predeceased be her husband Eric Thomas Hansen; as well as parents Charles and Sarah Clermont (Regina, Sask), Joseph (Coldwater, Alberta), Alfred (Regina, SK). Maureen leaves to mourn her children Eric and Laura; as well as sisters Margot (Wendell), Marie (Don), sister in law Elsie (Alfred), Ida (Joseph), and brother in law Garry (Judy) as well as a large extended family. Maureen was born in Regina Saskatchewan on May 26, 1940. She worked as a teacher and a government assistant for the Government of Saskatchewan before moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba where Maureen met and married her husband of 27 years. It was rare to find Maureen at home without her working on some sort of charitable project. Recently she was involved in Alpha house, CWL, and the Red Hat Society among others, all benefited from her work. If not found volunteering she was planning her next trip somewhere. We would like to thank Dr. R Gussman as well as the vascular team, ER staff, and Surgical ICU at St. Boniface Hospital for the care they gave to our mother. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette's Parish, 820 Cottonwood on November 27, 2008 with viewing one-hour prior with Father Fred Olds officiating. Cremation to follow with a private family interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Maureen and her legacy of community service may be made to a charity of one's choice.
