WAYNE RICHARD ANDON Surrounded by his loving family, Wayne passed away Sunday evening at the Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg. Dad was born on June 26, 1945 in Brandon to Nick and Julia. He often shared fond memories of his childhood in Ninette. From dad's first marriage daughter Kerry and son Dean were born. Dad knew how to work and he knew how to play. He began his worklife with the Department of Highways as a young man and always said he loved what he did for work. Dad became very involved with the MGEU and also the Buffalo Credit Union and Blue Cross board of directors collaborating with his fellow brothers and sisters for many years. Dad enjoyed travelling to many places across Canada and the U.S for both his union and with his family. Most recently he was able to return to his father's birthplace and meet extended family in Greece and Albania. Dad enjoyed so much in life. He always found a way to just go do it. He loved dogs, golf, the green Riders, the Boston Bruins, his house and yard, and most of all family celebrations. He will be thought of often and loved forever. Dad is survived by wife Connie, daughter Kerry Braaksma (partner Eddy Hodgson), son Dean (wife Marla) and stepson Sean Ruttle. The little loves of his life were is grandchildren, Joshua and Julia Braaksma and Sophia Andon. Dad will also be missed by his three sisters, Donna, Nancy (Bruce) and Penny (Reg). Dad welcomed so many people into his life and they will all remember him as a generous and passionate man. A time for remembrance will be held at the Ninette hall on Friday, November 28 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.
