She is survived by John, her loving and thoughtful husband of over 50 years, and by their children and families: John and Jess, Madeleine and Aislin of Terrace, BC; Megan and Speed (Brian) and Luke of Sarnia, ON; Jane of Calgary. Special thanks to Dr. W. Manishen, Dr. N. MacEachern, CancerCare Manitoba and the Palliative Care Team. At Arline's request, there will be no service. Remember her by donating to charities of your choice. Arline and John explored the globe together, delighting in the theatres of Manhattan, the mountain trains of Costa Rica, the Buddhist temples of Malaysia and dozens of other curious places. Arline studied theatre at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She had discovered a gift for acting in her childhood but she gave up a stage career to raise her family. Her voracious reading ranged from high-class trash to classics, newspapers and literary criticism. She astonished her family with her creative solutions to difficult home renovation, decorating and cooking challenges. She fought off cancer twice. When it came back a third time, she ignored it.
