JAMES (JIM) BAUGH October 25, 1909 - November 24, 2008 Peacefully on November 24, 2008 James (Jim) Baugh aged 99 years of Eriksdale, MB. Jim was born on October 25, 1909 in Winnipeg, MB. In the early 1900s he and his family moved to the Interlake where they homesteaded in the Eriksdale area. Jim went to work for local families from Eriksdale; like the Bob and Ina Kingsley family in the 1950s, as well as the William and Mary Whiteside family, where he helped at their service station for many years. For a short time Ron and Doreen Knight's residence became his home. Jim then moved to Stony Mountain, MB and resided in a group home. Jim returned to Eriksdale and made the Personal Care Home his residence until his passing. Jim is survived by his two nieces Margaret Mitchell of Moose Jaw, SK and Grace Olson of Calgary, AB along with their children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Mathias and Elizabeth Baugh; four brothers Nick, Bill, Tom and Matt; seven sisters May, Minnie, Annie, Maggie, Lizzie, Mary and Nellie. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008 at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home with Melanie Kauppila officiating. Interment to follow in the Nord Cemetery.
