DOREEN HARDIE July 11, 1934 - November 25, 2008 Our beloved mother, wife and grandmother, Doreen, passed away, on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 74 years. Remaining to forever cherish Mom's memory are her husband Bill; son Danny (Kim); daughter Lynn Whitney and her husband Russell; four beautiful grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, Jennifer and Maygen; her sister Margaret Borodenko (Alec); as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Gladys Elizabeth and Rudolph Denich; as well as, her two brothers, Edward and Rudy Denich. Our mother was born and raised in Winnipeg and lived all her life either in the city of Winnipeg or in surrounding areas in Manitoba. Mom's caring and soft heartedness was like no other. She will remain in our lives and hearts forever, and we will always remember the lessons she taught us as a Mother and a Grandmother. Doreen's funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. The family would like to thank all who helped with the care of our mother in her last days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doreen's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0V9 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
