EUGENE PODOLSKY (GENE) Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather Peacefully, surrounded by his family Gene passed away on November 19, 2008. Gene will dearly missed by his loving wife Mildred Mac , his daughters Laurie (Bruce) Orbanski and Susan (Gordon) Scarth, grandson Christopher, and Sandy. He is also survived by his brother Robert (Eva) and sisters, Ida (David) Gibb and Evelyn Manser of Toronto and many nieces and nephews. Gene was predeceased by his father John and his mother Doris, his brothers: Morris, Michael, William and sisters Annette and Marian. Gene was employed by the CNR for 38 years, first as a fireman then as a Locomotive Engineer. He enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, travelling and the love of a good book. Gene was a man of great physical and inner strength. He was a very devoted family man and touched the lives of many. Gene could always be counted on for guidance and comfort. Family and friends will sadly miss him. Honouring Gene's request a private family service has taken place. We would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at both St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Health Centre for the care they provided. The family would also like to thank E.J.
