He was 85 years old. He will forever remain in the hearts of his family. Dad to: Laurie (Dorothy), Kristine (Brian Bunkowsky), Carol (George Anseeuw), Tim (Sharon), and Jennifer (Deryck Bodnarchuk). Grandpa to: Derek (Sabrina), Joel (Melissa), Faye (Bryan), Jill (Jason), Lisa (Brent), Caren (Geoff), Marc, Brett, and Sara. Papa Ollie to: Chase, Austin, Samantha, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Tayla, Matthew, Kyle, Jennifer, Oliver, Adam, and Lauren. Brother to: Esther Franzmann. He will be fondly remembered by many family and friends. His wife, Doreen; parents, Alfred and Caroline LeClair; and sisters, Eva Reinsch and Pearl Harder; predeceased him. Dad was born on May 15, 1923, and was raised on the family farm at Brunkild, MB. Dad and Mom were married on October 25, 1947 and together they worked hard, farmed, and lovingly raised their family. Dad lived a good life. A few of the things he enjoyed through the years were farming, curling, playing cards with friends, being with his family, talking about old times , driving his car, coffee with the guys, and attending sporting events and concerts of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And who will ever forget his sense of humor? We're sure all of you who knew Dad will recall a joke or two that he told you or played on you. This gift of humor remained with him to the end and we can all remember him with a smile. Just the way he'd want us to. We would like to thank all of the people who continued to extend their friendship to Dad after Mom passed away, either through visits, phone calls, or cards, and to give our appreciation to all of the staff at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home who so lovingly cared for him and treated him as their own. You are truly extraordinary people. In accordance with Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Rest well Dad, your work is done. Love you always, your family
