ERNEST LAFANTAISIE Peacefully on November 25, 2008 Ernest passed away at Tache Centre with his loving and caring wife at his side. Ernest was predeceased by his father Arsene and his in-laws Alphonse and Esther Frobisher. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gertrude of 49 years and their six children, Gilbert, Gilberte (Dennis), Raymond (Marilyn), Marc, Suzanne (Rob), Rene (Kathy) and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandsons. He is also survived by his mother Louise, seven sisters and brothers-in-law, and also two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law. Ernest was born on February 28, 1935 in St. Malo, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg in 1952. He worked at St. Boniface Hospital and as a taxi driver for many years. His favourite past-time was to talk to people and find out their family history. The family would like to thank 4DE staff and dining room staff for the care that was given to Ernest during the past 8 years. Special thanks to Raoul LaPlume for playing cards on the weekends. Thank you to Dr. Malmehta and Dr. Parker and their staff. Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Emile Church on 566 St. Anne's Road. Interment at the St. Norbert Cemetery will follow the reception. In lieu of flowers donations to MS Society of Manitoba, 100-1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, MB R3T 1L8 are greatly appreciated.
