DAVID JOSEPH HOLLINS It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Joseph Hollins on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the age of 68 years. Left to mourn his passing are his wife of seven years, Joan Hollins; brothers Barry (Laurie) and Wayne (Marie); and sisters Sandra (Ernie), Judy (Bob) and Janice. Also left to mourn his passing are his children Brian (Darcy), Melanie (Lyle), Scott, Murray (Lisa) and Andrea (John). In addition to his children he also leaves 11 grandchildren who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents Alice Irene and George Henry; as well as his brother Jerry (Dorothy). Dave was born in Winnipeg on April 26, 1940. He was an avid golfer, consummate sports fan and constant volunteer. Dave also served on committees at Deer Lodge Hospital and wherever else his talents could be used. On Monday, December 1, Dave's funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. Special thanks to Dr. Joel Wiatrowski and the staff at Grace Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dave's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Society.
