JOSEPH LEO MULLIGAN Founder, Abalon Construction Life is full of ups and downs. Today may be down, but if you hang on, you'll see; amazing things are just around the corner. On November 24, 2008 Joseph Leo Mulligan, born in Emerald, Prince Edward Island in the same small farmhouse as his mother, died of a stroke at Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg. Leo touched countless lives in his 77 years; from his early days working on the CNR railroad, 38 years at Abalon Construction, numerous charitable events, and on many, many golf courses. He left behind a large group of friends, particularly Gerry, Ray, Craig and Wayne, who stood by him until the end. Sadly, he was estranged from his daughters, Susan and Darlene Mulligan, and his only two grand-children. At Leo's request, he has been cremated. He did not want a memorial service. If you wish to acknowledge the family in their time of loss, we ask that you consider donating money, or your voice, supporting Ikwe-Widdjiitiwin (Box 1056, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2X4 / 987-2794), a woman's shelter for battered and abused women. Let's turn a corner.
