Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND TURCOTTE On November 25, 2008 at 1:24 a.m., Raymond went to be with his beloved wife Herta. Raymond was born June 16, 1921 in Hodgsons, Manitoba and passed away at the age of 87 at the Middlechurch Nursing Home in Winnipeg. For the past seven years, Raymond had overcome many obstacles after suffering a massive stroke, short of a miracle someone once said. After all of the difficulties he went through, he was always there for us to love to the end of his last day. Son of Leonard and Virginia Turcotte, he was one of 14 children. Raymond and his late wife Herta, of 44 years, had lived in various cities across Canada, until they finally chose to settle in Winnipeg and raise a family. Raymond had worked at all sorts of construction until joining the City of Winnipeg. Raymond had never missed a day of work in 30 years! This was acknowledged during his retirement ceremony. Raymond leaves behind eight children, Ron and wife Margaret, Michelle, Linda, Mark, Peter and wife Kim, David and wife Caroline, Angela, and Jacqueline and husband Chris. Also 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, as well as his sole surviving sibling, his sister Solange and husband Jerry. You were always so strong and continued to be strong right until the end. You really did fight hard, but it was time for you to go. We know that we will see you again one day. Many heartfelt thanks to the staff at Middlechurch Nursing Home who took such wonderful care of our father. Private services were held on Thursday, November 27, 2008. What a character. We love you dad!
