Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN IRENE FINCH In loving memory of Joan Irene Finch (nee Woods, nee Curtis). A cancer survivor of 24 years, she passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, November 29, 2008 after her second battle with cancer. We are sad to lose her, though she now has embarked on a new journey, one she believed to be beautiful. She is predeceased by her brother Edward Curtis (2007); daughter of Irene (1991) and Albert Curtis (1940). She is survived by her children David Woods of London and Janet Graham of Guelph; her grandchildren, Joshua and Dana Graham, and her good friend and sidekick of 14 years, Vern Switzer of Orillia. Joan was raised in the Brandon, Winnipeg area before moving to Orillia with her then husband Harold Woods in the 1960's. In the early 1990's, she was widowed from her second husband Duncan Finch of Orillia. She resided in Orillia for 47 years before moving to Guelph. On Thursday, December 4, 2008 a Columbarium service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 762 Woolwich St., Guelph, with a fellowship gathering at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, 519-822-0051 or www.wallcustance.com, at 12:00 noon.
