EDWARD (TED) WHITE Edward (Ted) George White, of Winnipeg, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on Saturday, November 29, 2008. Ted was born at the family farm in Ogilvie, MB on October 18, 1932 to John C. White and May (Browning) White who predeceased him. He attended Soudan School and Gladstone High School before moving to Winnipeg in the early 1960s where most of his working life and his retirement years were spent. Reading about history or science fiction was his main passion. Ted is survived by his loving sister, Edith (Thomas) Beatty and her family. A special thank you to his cousin, Marie White of Winnipeg, his good friend and confidant for many years. Ted's family also gives special gratitude to Stuart and Judy Kidd, as well as the caregivers at Beacon Hill Lodge who have supported and cared for Ted during his declining years. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held, interment of his ashes to be performed at a later date in the family plot at the Plumas Cemetery with his parents.
