Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALMA MAY MITCHELL (nee SARVIS) It is with heavy hearts and much sadness we announce the passing of our mother on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Kin Place Personal Care Home, Oakbank, MB. She is at rest now. Left to remember and cherish her memory are her children and their families. Joyce (Darryl), Ken (Cindy), Maureen (Tom), Randy (Linda), Greg (Robynne), Odette (Bob), Derek (John), Bill (Joanne) and in-laws, Joan and Dan; her stepbrothers, Ross and Ken Sarvis, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has been reunited with her children, Gary and Beverly and grandson Johnny. Mom was born in Winnipeg October 5, 1919. Her childhood home was in Morse Place. In 1938 she married Lorne (Bud) Mitchell and together they had 10 children. They moved to Anola in July 1958 and raised their children there. In the mid 1990s after all the children had left home she moved to Transcona and enjoyed her life there until 2003 when she moved into Kin Place in Oakbank, where she remained until her death. We cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff at Kin Place were to our Mom. Many thanks. They treated her with dignity and kindness through her stay there. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street, with Reverend Jeff Cook presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
