JOAN ANNE MALOWNEY It is with sad hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Joan Anne Malowney on Saturday, November 29, 2008. Joan will be remembered by husband Doug; mother Eva Scribner; brothers, Mel, Morley, and Roy; sisters, Linda, Arlene and Karen; her in-laws, many nieces and nephews, as well as, the Malowney family. She was predeceased by her two children, Brian and Amanda. Joan was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on August 28, 1959 and spent her life there. Joan will be remembered as person with a kind heart who enjoyed being a mom and taking care of her pets. She was always generous and found pleasure in the company of friends and family. Peace can be found knowing Joan will once again be with her children, who she missed dearly. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 10:00 a.m. at Gilbart's Funeral Chapel, in Selkirk, with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honour can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
