DONALD ULLYOT It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Donald Leslie Ullyot on November 29, 2008 in his 80th year. Don will be missed by Helen, his wife of 58 years; children, Gordon (Marge), Leslie (Stephen) and Kimberly (Glenn). Grand-children, Jason, Jennifer, LeaAnne, Lisa, Kari and Kevyn. Great-grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher, Jonathan, Megan, Taylor, Nathan, Jaylene, Tyler, Daniel, Michael, Ella and Alexander. Also many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by parents, Gilbert Leigh and Stella (Boslovitch) and brother Allan. Don lived in Winnipeg all of his life, and loved his time at the family cottage in Matlock. Don was employed with Eaton's until his retirement due to ill health. He enjoyed his volunteer work the Trinity Food Pantry right up until the time of his passing. Don will always be remembered as the neighbour with the tool and the knowledge and the advice that was needed for any project. He enjoyed reading; he could read two or three books in a day. Family was the cornerstone of his life. He enjoyed the visits of family and friends and was always a generous host. All of the children looked forward to receiving the gift of coins that he had saved for them. Family was more than relatives; it included friends, relatives of friends and anyone else who needed a family. Don was looking forward to Christmas; his entire family was coming home to celebrate. He supervised the decorating of the tree and the making of the egg rolls. His Christmas shopping was done, and he was just waiting for everyone to arrive. The family would like to express our deepest thanks to those who have been there in times of need, especially Inez, Doreen, Terry, Jerry and Joanne, Gerald and Betty and the home care workers for their care and concern. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's memory may be made to Grace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, the Trinity Food Pantry or to a charity of one's choice.
