ROBERT GRAHAM DANIELS Peacefully on November 29, 2008 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Robert (Bob) Daniels, aged 74 years, of Selkirk, MB, passed away after a lengthy illness. Bob was born in Peguis, MB. on July 29, 1934. He enjoyed watching hockey games at the Old Barn and the new Rec. Centre. He helped coach the Mariners baseball team for a number of years and he liked to play a game of pool with his friends where they would tell many jokes. He had worked at Johnson's Logging Mill, Selkirk Training Plant, Mandak Metals, and on the construction crew for the Rec. Complex and Hydro Building. Bob leaves surviving his loving wife Darlene; daughter Kim Norquay (Scott); grandchildren, Thomas, Stacy and Courtney; sisters, Shirley (Victor) Flett, Emily Sigurdson (Thor), Eileen (Freeman) Einarson and Barbara (Roy) Daniels; brothers, Elmer (Eileen) Daniels and Dick (Thelma) Daniels, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents John and Edna; brother John; sister Verle and stepsister Edna. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with viewing for one hour prior to service. Cremation will follow. Bob's family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the Red River Place staff for their care and support over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
