MARION ELIZABETH ENGLISH (nee KOMARNICKI) After a lengthy struggle with cancer, Marion died on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 81 years. Remaining to forever cherish Marion's memory are her sons, Ralph and Grant English, and her niece Diane Wonder. She was predeceased by her husband. Born in 1927, Marion had fond memories of a childhood spent in the Elmwood district of Winnipeg. She married Herbert William English in 1950. She was proud to have worked throughout her married life, retiring in 1989 after 21 years of service as a stenographer / administrator for Carpenters Union Local 343. In retirement Marion was an avid gardener and an enthusiastic member of the Polo Park Mall Walkers Club. On Friday, December 5, 2008 at 10:30 am Marion's funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. Thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, particularly those from Cancer Care Manitoba, 5E Medicine, and the Palliative Care Program. Flowers are gratefully declined.
