PAUL LITKE
Born: Feb 20, 1924
Date of Passing: Nov 29, 2008
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAUL LITKE February 20, 1924 November 29, 2008 With songs in the air, tender caresses and joyful laughter, Paul's loving family and friends helped him transition from this life journey into the next, at the wonderful age of 84, in the Beausejour Hospital, on Saturday, November 29, 2008. Remaining to forever cherish Paul's memory are his wife Roberta; children, Raymond (Rosie), Richard, Diana; siblings, Tillie Drewlo, Edwin (Hazel), Fred (Betty), Herb (Audrey), Alma Rondeau; sister-in-law Joan Litke; brother-in-law Gerry Neault; many nieces, nephews and God family. He was predeceased by his parents, Martha and Gustuv; sister Elsa Neault; brother William Litke; brothers-in-law, Art Drewlo and Richard Rondeau; as well as, nephew David Litke. In the journey Paul called life, there were many interesting paths that always left him with a story to tell, a limerick to quip, or something to teach and share. He was never without his smile, a song in his heart or that glint in his eye that meant he was busy cooking up some remark. He was often found under some hood tinkering, in the garage puttering, sitting with the coffee guys because he needed to know how to fix that part or just spending time with his family laughing. Paul worked as a logger and a jack-of-all-trades in his travels across the country but was last known for his work at the Beausejour Hotel, A.E.C.L. in Pinawa and the Beausejour Clinic. A remembrance of Paul's life will be held in his home on Saturday, December 6, between 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for friends and family. As his life was filled with flowers, he wished that in lieu of them, donations be made to D'Arcy's A.R.C., the Shalom Mission or your local food bank.

I miss you so very much dad. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I think of the first time I called you dad...was the happiest day of my childhood. I remember you putting me on your lap in the car because I asked you if I could drive and you let me drive. I remember when I wanted to play hockey and you worked overtime so that I could play. I miss you so much dad that tears are streaming down my face and am finding it difficult to type. All you've done for me dad then when you were here and even now that you're gone, your wisdom and kind and gentle heart really has influenced my life, more now than ever for I always knew that I'd be like you! I find myself comparing my life as it is now to your life when you and mom 1st started dating. You loved my mom, but you truly loved us boys and you took on the responsibility of being a great love for mom, but also an excellent father for Raymond and I. You did what it took to make us yours...and well dad I can say we truly are "your" boys! I remember when I asked you if I'd ever find someone that would love me for me and take care of me and you said "yes, she will find you in time". Well dad she found me! :) I love her so very much and have found myself loving her 2 kids as well especially Chastity! She reminds me of you and I and us. I really have become you dad and pray that I can be as understanding, caring, and as patient as you were, but somehow I know that you're proud of me and that I'm proud to be your son and proud to follow in your footsteps. You gave me a good stable life dad and I get all the little things now! You gave me a very important part of my life and that's Diana. Diana has kept me grounded in life and she means the world to me! Miss alot of the things we did as a family, but now dad you've passed the baton to me and I will carry it with pride and determination with the knowledge that you gave to me to make my new family as loving and caring as you made your family. Peace be with you always my beloved father for you mean the world to me!!! May God be with the Gagne family and with the Litke clan for you all are a part of who I am and who I've become. May God bless you all - Posted by: Richard litke (Son) on: Jul 24, 2014
