ANN CAMERON ANDERSON (nee SPENCE) On Wednesday, December 3, 2008, Ann Cameron Anderson passed away peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre with her husband, David Anderson, and children, Dorothy (Anderson) Ross and Ian Anderson near her side. Our dear wife, mother and grandmother has moved on to a more peaceful place after a long and committed struggle with Lewy Body Disease. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Deer Lodge (6W) and St. Boniface Hospital (4B) for their support and attention during our time of need. Words cannot express our thanks and gratitude for all the support and love they have given to Ann and our family. Those who knew Ann will recall a spirited, loving, and devoted woman who gave all of herself to her family and friends. Ann was born in Troon, Scotland on May 26, 1932 and after completing her education, she journeyed to Canada with her dear friend Doris Hillis to start what would be a lengthy career in education. Ann met David while teaching at Tec Voc High School in Winnipeg and our close family started soon after. Ann taught for many years at Elmwood High School and later at the Winnipeg Adult Education Centre where she made many close, lifelong friends and where she worked tirelessly in the pursuit of quality education and guidance. Beyond David, Dorothy and Ian, Ann leaves behind her sister Dorothy Wilson and brother Dint Spence (wife Betty); her daughter-in-law Kim Anderson (Ian's wife) and son-in-law Don Ross (Dorothy's husband). The true apples of Ann's eye were her two grandsons, Dustin Ross and Brett Anderson. Nothing gave her greater joy than spending loving time with them. Ann will be dearly missed by her many, many friends and family members. She was fortunate to have numerous visitors and well wishers during her last days. We all love you very much and are proud of the fight you gave. Cremation has occurred. The family welcomes all who knew Ann to join us for an informal, brightly clothed, gathering to celebrate her life on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Wildewood Golf Country Club at 761 North Drive from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Ann was a long time supporter of The Winnipeg Humane Society and Winnipeg Harvest, and the family asks that in lieu of flowers you support them in her memory. We love you Cheers, Here's tae us, Wha's like us, Damn few. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 BROADWAY, WINNIPEG, MB R3C OX4 783-7211 Send expressions of sympathy at www.mem.com
