Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURA EVELYN HARES (nee BOWSER) On December 4, 2008 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Laura Hares, aged 87 years, of Selkirk, MB. Laura was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Morris on February 5, 2008, a brother Gordon Bowser, a sister Velma Riley and a grandson Trevor Hares. She will be lovingly remembered by son Allan (Karen) and family, Tracey and boys Tyson and Bryce, Leigh (Macushla), Sadie and Hamish of Australia, Cale (Dannie) and Jaycee of Winnipeg, Scott (Jennifer) of Coquitlam, BC; Marianne and family of Blackfalls, AB, Marcia (Kent), Courtney and Hunter; Kim, Todd and foster children, Darcy, Allie, and Heaven of Edmonton; Debra (Willie) Loutit of East Selkirk with Ben (Stephanie) and their son Logan; Lisa (Darren) Lazaruk and daughter Jayne; sisters Grace Mitchell and Ruth Hooker; sister-in-law Mary Bowser and Nancy, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mom's whole life was her family. She also loved to bake, garden, bowl, quilt, sew and do puzzles. She was a hard working mother who never had idle hands. She was also an avid sports fan. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Selkirk United Church, 202 McLean Ave. with Rev. Deborah Vitt officiating. A private family interment will precede the service at St. Clements Cemetery. Special thanks to the nurses at Selkirk General Hospital and to good friend, Adeline Kaluzniak. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Selkirk United Church or bring a Tin for the Bin in her name. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
