MARIAN WLADYSLAW KAJDA January 14, 1927 - December 2, 2008 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Marian Kajda at his home at the age of 81. Marian immigrated to Canada from Poland in 1947. He lived in Ontario for a short time before moving to Winnipeg where he met and married the love of his life, Janina, in 1950. A very hard worker and friend to all, Marian retired from Canadian Airlines at the age of 65. He was a very active member of the Royal Canadian Legion #246, and, as well belonged to the Knights of Columbus in Transcona. A devoted husband and father, Marian leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 58 years, Janina; son Frank Kajda (Daria); daughter Christine Single (Jerry); daughter Theresa Plischke (Daniel); grandchildren, Kelly Single, Lori Weston (Derek), Jay Single, Zeke Plischke, Samuel Plischke, and great-granddaughters, Madison and Chloe Weston. Funeral to be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (505 Brewster St.) on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 12:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens thereafter.
