Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWIN BLACKBURDE (Neh-na-eh-qua-neb) January 2, 1911 December 3, 2008 Neh-na-eh-qua-neb began his journey home on the morning of December 3, 2008. Left to treasure his memory are his children, Lloyd (Lori), Art (Lynda), Victoria (Jim), Catherine, Ernie (Kim), and Lyn (Jerry); including an abundance of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will tell you he was born on a stump between Barwick and Emo, Ontario. His home reservation area was Long Sioux, which later became Manitou Rapids / Rainy River First Nations. He spent time in Buffalo Point as a young man and later met and married Margaret Catherine Christofferson of Middlebro, Manitoba where they raised their family. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Middlebro Community Hall in Middlebro, Manitoba and will continue on through to the morning of Saturday, December 6, 2008 with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Middlebro cemetery. The family cannot express enough appreciation to the health care workers of the East Borderland Primary Healthcare centre, who lovingly cared for our father.
