JIM LUCAS With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jim Lucas on December 3, 2008 at 54 years of age. Left to cherish his memory, his loving daughter Amanda (Chris); special friends, Greg, Tony and Dave, along with numerous friends who were like family. Jim was predeceased by his mother Florence and wife Heather. Dad was employed with the City of Winnipeg for 30 years where he made many friends and left a lasting memory among them. A special thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital, N3W unit for all their compassionate care and support. The family also greatly appreciates the caring help of all the generous neighbours. We will miss his colourful spirit and tasteful humour. Jim will be in our hearts forever. Family and friends can take comfort in knowing that Jim is now with his beloved wife Heather and faithful companion Brownie. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

I only knew Jim for a short period of time and only recently learned of his passing . In the time that I knew Jim and his daughter Mandy it was so apparent how much he loved and cherished their bond.
