I decided to search out some of my old professors and found this obituary. Orville Conner has been one of the greatest influences in my intellectual life. He was generous and patient. I remember him going to the Winnipeg Art Gallery with our class, and later just the two of us, to discuss existential rebellion in art in the 1920's. Orville inspired me to have an open minded perspective and to revel in intellectual curiosity. I know that I was lucky to be his student. My condolences to everyone else who also loved him. A grateful philosopher. - Posted by: Kevin Wallbridge (student) on: Mar 22, 2012
