Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBINA (BINA) BURCH (nee TORGERSON) Peacefully, on November 21, 2008, Bina passed away, at Grace Hospice, at the age of 77. She was predeceased by her husband Einar Albert (whom unexpectedly passed away on October 16); her parents, Oscar and Mary; stepbrother Arnold; stepsisters, Gunnee and Tillie. Bina is survived by her sons, Ron (Cindy), Calgary; Robert (Debbie), Thunder Bay; Diane (Lynden), Thunder Bay; Arlene (Bruce), New Port, Oregon; Lorraine (Jerry) Olson, Woodside, California. Sisters, Ann (Bud) Taylor; Vi (Bill) Barnes; Gloria (Bob) Saunders; brother Lloyd (Carolyne) and stepbrother Gus (Margaret). Grandchildren, Chris and Allison Barnes; Ian and Danielle Clayman; Jason and Zoe Burch; Jon and Lauren Burch and Brett Olson. Bina was born and raised in Lundar, MB. She married Einar in Winnipeg on Jan.20, 1951. They lived several years in Thunder Bay prior to Einar's retirement in 1990. She was a Life member of A.N.A.F. Veterans Association, member of Ladies Aux. A.N.A.F. Unit #1 and served in many official capacities within the Association; Past President of Fort William Unit 257, Past President of Manitoba and N.W. Ontario Province Command. She was also a Past Honoured Royal Lady of Royal Purple #14, Thunder Bay. Besides her volunteer service, her children were the centre of her universe. She enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crocheting various crafts and traveling. In compliance with Bina's wishes, a formal Funeral Service will not be held. Cremation has taken place for both Albina and Einar. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial service will also be set at a later date. If friends so desire, donations in Bina and Einar's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
