Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRANDALL (RANDY) JOHN GIESBRECHT It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Randy at the age of 48 on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008. Despite many struggles with the raising of two physically challenged sons, Randy persevered through life with a continual smile; always displaying optimism and generosity. He was well known as a Rock to his family who relied upon him for support during many hardships. Randy was a lover of the outdoors where he often spent time fishing and golfing with his friends in an attempt to seek solace from life's challenges. Randy was born on July 7, 1960 in Winnipeg and resided with his family in Morris, Manitoba. He was employed for 20 years at Greyhound Bus Lines where he established many close friendships. He will be greatly missed by wife Janice (Busch), son Derek, daughters Avery and Brittany, sister and brother-in-law Wanda and Fred Landry, brother and sister-in-law Jamie and Caren Giesbrecht, and many other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Randy is predeceased by his mother Elvira Giesbrecht, father Abram Giesbrecht, and in July of 2006 Randy endured the difficult loss of his son Jeremy at age 11 years. A celebration of Randy's life will be conducted at the Southern Manitoba Convention Centre in Morris on Tuesday, December 9 at 1:00 pm. There will be viewing at Morris Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Randy's memory to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, CE 501, 840 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1.
