MARIE WEIDMANN (nee MISSAL) Peacefully with her family by her side, after a lengthy illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving Wife, Mother, Oma, Sister and Aunt - Marie Weidmann on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 75 years. Remaining to forever cherish Marie's memory are her beloved husband Leonard of 51 years of marriage; children, Bernie (Linda) Weidmann, Eleanor Weidmann, Lori (Keith) Cochrane; precious grandchildren, Eric and Sarah Weidmann, Kaitlyn, Jeremy and Lucas Cochrane; sisters, Alice (Arnold) Schmidtke, Irmgard (Gerhard) Marschall, Erika Makowe (Victor West) and Edeltraud (Albert) Schadek, as well as many friends and family. She was predeceased by her parents Auguste and Gustav Missal, sister Martha Gesch and grandchildren Adam and Tucker Cochrane. Marie's Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street, Winnipeg, MB, with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to her surgeon Dr. M. Zaki, the Nurses and Staff of Seven Oaks General Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's memory to the Lutheran Church of the Cross, the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 2B7 or a charity of your choice. You will always be treasured in our hearts. We love you!
