JEAN KOLOSKI (nee NAVEN) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Koloski (77) on December 8, 2008 at the Concordia Hospital. She will be sadly missed by son Jeff (Kit), daughter Jodi (Cory), and grandchildren: Chantal, Rachel, Casey, Derek, and Matthew. She is survived by her brother Bill (Marion) and sister Pat. Jean will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband Lou, her parents Ernest and Willard, brothers Ernie and Roy, and sister Jackie. Jean was born in Winnipeg in the Fort Rouge area. She attended school at Lord Roberts, St. Ignatius, and St. Mary's Academy. After graduation she worked as a Secretary at Federated Insurance, Sharon Home, and Lucerne Foods. She retired in 1995, and blissfully took the job as Grandma. Over the years the grandchildren played a central role in her life. She enjoyed watching them grow, and took pride in all of their accomplishments. Mom will be remembered for her amazing math skills, quick wit and sense of humor. She loved to read, play cards, do crosswords, shop, and most of all, spend time with her family. We will cherish our memories of special shopping trips downtown, and having lunch at the Paddlewheel Restaurant. As per Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Klassen Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 11. In lieu of flowers or donations, we request you spend some quality time with your loved ones. One never knows what tomorrow will bring. Because of you, Mom, We know what love is. It's patience.
