ALICE VALLIERES (nee GAUTHIER) Peacefully on December 8, 2008 with her family by her side, Alice passed away at the young age of 66 at the Ste. Anne Hospital. Alice is survived by her husband and best friend Claude of 38 years. She will be sadly missed by her four children Darryl (Linda), Carroll (Stan), Dwayne (Barb), Nicole (Fred) as well as three stepdaughters Sylvie, Lucy, and Debbie, and her 11 grandchildren Chantal (Darcy), Michelle, Amanda (Ian), Ashley, Leo, Monique, Jacqueline, Phillip, Dylan, Justin and Dawson. She also leaves to mourn, her mother Mae Gauthier and her sisters and brothers, Emily (Guy) Paille, George Gauthier, Giselle Gauthier (Robert) Lawrence (Lorraine) Gauthier, Gerald (JoAnne) Gauthier and Elaine (Chris) Kirkness and many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her father Leo Gauthier (1990) and brother Gilbert Gauthier (1999). Mom was a hard worker even with her petite figure you would always catch mom working with dad doing stucco and installing drywall and taping. In her spare time, she would be outside working in her garden and planting her flowers. Alice's family would like to thank the outstanding staff at Ste. Anne Hospital and Dr. DeMossiac. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ste. Anne Hospital Fund, 52 Gerard Street, Ste. Anne, MB R5H 1C4 or CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Cremation has taken place; a celebration of Alice's life will be on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Ste. Anne, Manitoba at the Roman Catholic Church. An interment will follow at a later date.
