March 2, 1926 - December 6, 2008 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving brother, husband, father and grandfather, on Saturday, December 6 at the age of 82 years. He will always be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Gloria; children, Anastacio III, Enrique, Gisela, Claro, Dino and his wife, Jennifer; and grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew and Benjamin. He was predeceased by his parents, Anastacio Sr. and Rosario; brother Francisco and brother-in-law Ernesto. He is survived by his brother Rodrigo (Ninfa); sisters, Aurora, Salvacion (Samuel Villareal), Paraluman (Herminio Gloria), Rosalinda (Victor McQueen); sister-in-law Lydia, mother-in-law Teodora Santiago and numerous nephews and nieces and their families. Anastacio was born on March 2, 1926 in Batangas, Philippines. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Far Eastern University in Manila. He lived with his wife and children in Quezon City until 1971, when they immigrated to Canada. Anastacio and his family lived in Kenora, Ontario until his retirement at OTFS, later moving to Winnipeg. He had a love for music, sports, travel and most of all his family. There will be a wake held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home at 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 4588 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Interment and reception to follow at Chapel Lawn. Special thanks to family members, friends, pallbearers, Father Barry Schoonbaert from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and, last but not least, to the Emergency staff at Grace Hospital for their loving care and support.
