Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) PASCAL 1920 - 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce that Bill Pascal passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2008. Adored and adoring husband of Doris Pascal (née Warren) for 64 years and loving father of Diana Henderson (Murray) from Toronto, William (Denise) from Ottawa and Fred (Brenda) from Vancouver. He leaves his grandchildren - Jonathan, Lara, Mathew, Graham, Caitlyn and D'Arcy - as well as four beautiful great-grandchildren - Aimée, Natalie, Noah and Hana. Bill was born in Selkirk on August 13, 1920, and spent his early years in Miami, Manitoba. In 1941 he joined the Canadian Air Force as a flight engineer and a warrant officer. After the war, he trained and worked as a plumber for 34 years. He delighted in his children, attending school plays or hockey games and the other important events that peppered the Pascal family life. He and Doris enjoyed a wide circle of friends, and infused hundreds of get-togethers with their sense of humor, generosity and compassion. Bill particularly enjoyed family gatherings at the cottage where good laughs, good food and good beer were always abundant. Bill also spent many years as a giving and helpful volunteer at St. Aidan's Anglican Church in Winnipeg. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Aidan's Anglican Church, 274 Campbell Street in Winnipeg. A reception will follow at the Church. Doris and family wish to thank physicians, nurses and staff at the Poseidon Care Centre and the Deer Lodge Centre, as well as friends and clergy at St. Aidan's. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Salvation Army at 290 Vaughan St. Winnipeg, R3B 2L9.
