ELLEN VICKERS Ellen Vickers of Pierson, MB passed away at the Melita Health Centre, Melita, MB on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the age of 76. She was predeceased by her parents Russel and Jean (Gillies) Craven; father-in-law and mother-in-law Chris and Nettie Vickers; son-in-law Terry Judd; two grandsons: Trent Gould and Curtis Schoonbaert; sister Lois Robinson; brothers: Alfred Craven and Clifford Craven; sisters-in-law: Barbara Craven and Olive Craven; brothers-in-law Norman Murray, Irv Crawford, Tom Robinson and Harry Swayze. Ellen is survived by her husband Ivan; seven children: Donna Gould of Melita, Helen (Rick) Schoonbaert of Deloraine, Grace Judd of Melita, Joyce (Grant) Philip of Tilston, Kay (Michael) Herbert of Pierson, Sylvia (Cam) Sinclair of Leader, SK and Grant (Leann) of Pierson; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters: Janny Swayze of Calgary, Orlean (George) Johnson of Virden and Florence Murray of Melita; brothers: Calvin Craven and Gilbert Craven both of Edmonton; sisters-in-law: Marg Craven of Gainsborough, Betty (Ken) Nathu, Janet Vickers and Madeleine Crawford all of Winnipeg; also numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Ellen's life will be held on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Pierson United Church with Reverend Mark Satterly officiating with interment to follow at the Pierson cemetery.
