She enjoyed the Saturday afternoon meat draws and all other activities that took place there. She was also a member of the Jolly Seniors and enjoyed the occasional bus trip with them. Mom helped on the bingo side by selling and ripping meat draw tickets and volunteering in the kitchen. Mom was a member of the St. James United Church and attended as often as possible. Winnie was a loving, caring, generous and very strong willed woman. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We the family would like to thank the medical staff at the Grace Hospital 4th floor and recently the medical staff at the Misericordia Health Centre 6th floor for the wonderful care and compassion they showed towards our mother. Jack called to tell me about Aunt Winnie. Jim & he were sorry they did not hear sooner as certainly would have attended the funeral. Aunt Winnie was a dear soul who loved to laugh and always made you feel welcome. She was also a great cook and know you will all miss her very much. - Posted by: Lynne Parsons (Family) on: Dec 19, 2008
