Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY DENNISET June 23, 1947 December 10, 2008 Suddenly, at Beausejour Hospital at 1:30 in the morning on December 10, 2008, Mary's soul took flight and left us to be nearer to God. Mary was born in Winnipeg and after having a difficult childhood found solace working with the Grey Nuns. Sister Tougas, whom she bonded with so closely and called Mom was a great source of inspiration, love and affection. Mary moved to Selkirk in 1992 and in 1995 found Lorraine, her true soul sister and dearest friend. Mary shared her apartment and her life with Lorraine, both being each others guiding light. Mary found peace and comfort with their daily living routines. Mary loved dogs. She had a contagious laugh and a healthy sense of humor. She loved to collect angels and dolls, enjoyed good company and good movies like The Waltons. Mary's religious upbringing remained with her and God was always present as a major force in her life. He helped her when things got rough. She was thankful that He brought Lorraine into her life. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Pastor Gary Russell officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
